SunOne helps ranch owners and managers participate in the carbon markets.  Eligibility is determined first by county, and then by land management practices.  In most cases, rangeland that adheres to the NRCS standard of supporting native vegetation through the control of livestock can be eligible.  Ranches are required to submit formal documentation of their practices including:

• A formal grazing plan that prescribes a sustainable forage-animal balance for each pasture
• A grazing schedule or calendar
• A contingency plan for management under drought conditions
