SunOne helps forestland owners and managers participate in the carbon markets. We focus on the following forestry projects:

• Afforestation/Reforestation: Trees planted on land where forest has not grown for at least 10 years can be eligible.
• Improved/Sustainable Forest Management: Forestland that is certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, Tree Farm System, Forest Stewardship Council, or American Forest Foundation can be eligible.
• U.S. Avoided Forest Conversion: Forestland owners who are willing to put their land in permanent conservation status can be eligible if their land is threatened by agriculture, mining, commercial, or residential development.
• International Avoided Deforestation (REDD): Forestland that is spared from development for other uses may be eligible. SunOne develops international avoided deforestation projects from our Brazil office through SunOne Brazil.

Our staff will manage the baseline tree inventory and other technical project development requirements that are necessary to register your carbon credits. We will also determine which carbon registry will yield the greatest return on your carbon offset assets, and then manage the registration process.
