SunOne helps forestland owners and managers participate in the carbon markets.  Our staff will perform the baseline tree inventory necessary to determine which carbon registry will yield the greatest return on your carbon offset assets, and then manage the verification, registration and crediting process.

We focus on the following forestry projects:

• Afforestation/Reforestation:  Trees planted on land where forest has not grown for at least 10 years can be eligible.
• Improved/Sustainable Forest Management:  Forestland that is certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, Tree Farm System, Forest Stewardship Council, or American Forest Foundation can be eligible.
• Avoided Deforestation (REDD):  Under certain circumstances, forestland that is spared from development or other uses can be eligible.  SunOne can work with domestic and international landowners to earn offsets, and has a focus on Brazil for projects overseas.
